How handbook sections work

Handbooks are built from sections inside Solution Host:

  • Blue button: standard template section.

  • Orange button: section you have edited and customised.

How to build a handbook

  1. Go to Handbooks in the HR module.

  2. Use the PDF preview to review each template section before applying it.

  3. Click the blue button to add the sections you want into the handbook.

  4. Edit any sections that need to reflect your business.

    • Any edited section is marked with an orange button.

How to publish and assign a handbook

  1. When you have added and edited all sections, click Publish Handbook.

  2. Use the orange Assign button to assign the handbook to specific employees and departments.

How to track who has read and signed the handbook

  1. Use the blue button in the handbook area to see:

    • Who has viewed the handbook.

    • Who has signed it (where signatures are required).

Who can edit handbook templates?

  • Editing templates is profile-restricted.

  • If you cannot see the edit option on a template section, you do not have permission.

  • Contact your system administrator if you need to amend template content.

Good practice when using handbook templates

  • Read each policy template carefully before using it.

  • Confirm that the wording is accurate and appropriate for your organisation, and adjust where needed.
